Happy Holi...WHAT?

Well, here we are again.  Do you sometimes wonder if your luck will ever improve?  Today I received the phone call....THE phone call.  It was my boss at KFKF.  GUESS WHAT Tim?  The new owners of the radio station want to make more money so they are going to take your job so they can have every last drop of blood on their hands.  Merry Christmas Tim! We all knew these guys were in it for the BIG money, yet, since it didn't happen right away, some started to believe that people can change.  WRONG!  Yesterday there were a few cuts.  Today came the bloodbath many of us knew was coming.  I'm kind of surprised they didn't wait until Christmas morning.

But the good news is...wait, there isn't any good news.  What's really great...my mind just went blank.  I'll have to get back to you on this.

Just goes to show that "No good deed goes unpunished." Seriously, corporate America has gone way too far! Gone are the days that anyone can work for a company for as many years as our parents. Greed of the upper level executives and board of directors has exceeded their moral compass. Gigantic bonuses, stock options and enormous exec salaries drive these robber barons to cut costs to the extreme! Cost cutting ultimately results in accounting puffery with long term disasterous results. Unloyal workers are another result of layoffs, mergers and "restucturering". Don't expect me to work overtime, weekends, and late nights! I get laid off in the end of it anyhow! Bah humbug

Damn, Tim, this really sucks! Bad news for sure! When will this madness end?

Well Tim just goes to show ya, being a vertan means nothing to the new company. In fact I think that it means you make more money and are the first on the chopping block. Rusty, Jim, Randy and, Shotgun have all been with the cluster for years. Ronnie still says that if Shotgun's contract wasn't up it would have been him. I have heard that the new owners dont care about anything other than 6a to 7p. Goes to show ya, no one is safe in the world anymore.
