Have we been busy?

Busy doesn't come close to describing our lives for the last few weeks.  Here's the exciting recap...

You may remember that Stacy had knee replacement surgery at the beginning of February and I am happy to report that she returns to work on Monday, today for some of you on the east coast.  Stacy had barely began walking on her own when I had a bout with the flu.  You remember, and unfortunately so do the nurses that cleaned up after me in the hospital.  Then, you may recall I stepped on a very small sliver of glass and it got badly infected with brilliant red stripes running up my leg.  An afternoon at Emergicare and two weeks of antibiotics and it has finally cleared up.  I also scored another day in the hospital to have an angiogram to see if the potato in my chest where many people have hearts was still functioning properly.  My stints looked good but now I have to take a water pill every morning to keep the fluids off my heart and this little white pill keeps me ever conscious of where the nearest bathroom is.

Now here's the newest diseases for the Peters' family.  Doctors found a suspicious patch on Stacy's back and determined it was cancer.  However, we are happy to report that it was only basal cell carcinoma. Last week the doctor dug a trench in her back and removed the entire offending area.  Stacy has yet another scar to add to her collection.

Then, last Monday, as I was planning a fundraiser to defeat anal leakage forever, it hit again.  All day Monday until 3 pm on Tuesday I spent an extraordinary amount of time expelling hot water from places where hot water is not supposed to come from.  Not only did I end up with the sorest ass of my life, but I officially lost 17 pounds over the course of 3 days.  It's ok to laugh as long as you don't point.  I just consider myself a forerunner to the swine flu pandemic.  Remeber when someone comes to your door, give to help stop anal leakage in our lifetime!

Needless to say, we are ecstatic that we have met our deductible and out of pocket expenses for health insurance before summer!  What a feeling of screwing the health insurance company because every time we go to the pharmacy, IT'S FREE!  WOO HOO!

That is all...Peters out!
