Long Time No Hear!

Someone asked today why I haven’t been writing on this blog.  I answered, “lazy”.  The truth is, I am lazy, but my computer got a virus and it screwed my e mail up and I have had to create an improvised way to get my e mail.  There is also the reason that I work 16 hours a day and barely have time to think.  I do “swing by” the house every now and then to check on the family.  Here is what has been happening since we last met.

The day after my last post I attended the Earth Wind and Fire/Chicago concert at the Sprint center in downtown Kansas City.  Amazingly enough, we did not lose the audio to the show once!  Pretty rare event for Sprint!  It was a great deal of fun.  Reminded me of all the great shows I went to in Wichita through the eighties.  Pretty fond memories there!

After that, Stacy had to have some more tests run.  These are the kind of tests that I probably shouldn’t discuss on the blog, but as far as we know, everything is okie dokie.  Stacy is having a surgical procedure done next week and to be quite honest about it, I’m more than a little upset about it.  I’ll protect Stacy’s privacy on this one too.

Shortly after Stacy’s test, my mother got her hip replacement surgery and after only three weeks is walking without a cane and feeling no pain.  Wow, I’m a poet!

That brings us up to the last couple of weeks.  You would have found us at the lake, and 50 strangers partying at our house our first night at the lake.  The vacation was fun and I’m proud to announce, the girls have retained a lease to an apartment which they started moving into today.  I wonder if the police will be able to find their apartment as easy as they find our house? Hmmmmmmm….

On a more serious note.  I have to tell you that I am a little more than concerned with our new president, his administration, and our Congress.  Never in my life did I think we would have a government that would try to intrude into our lives as this one has.  Write or call your congressman or woman and tell them that If they vote for the “health care bill”, you will support candidates that run against them in the next election.  Folks, Washington DC needs an enema and we as voters are the only ones that can give it to them.  They have forgotten who pays the bills and who they are supposed to be representing.  I’ll post some details from the “house” version of the health care bill on my next post.  Congress  202-224-3121.

That is all…Peters out!!!
